A slave cylinder installs on your transmission and actuates your clutch pressure plate when the clutch pedal is pressed. On a factory Audi S4 the clutch slave cylinder is located on the exterior of the transmission. The slave cylinder actuates a release lever and throw out bearing each time the clutch engages. This setup is not ideal for a performance vehicle. The Clutch Masters Hydraulic Slave Cylinder Kit was built with performance in mind. The hydraulic slave cylinder is a single contained unit that incorporates both the slave cylinder and throw out bearing into one. Once installed you expect a softer pedal feel, better clutch engagement, and smoother shifting. Please note the transmission must be removed from the vehicle to install the Hydraulic Slave Cylinder.
