The front crankshaft seal is located on the engine behind the crankshaft pulley. The seal is designed to keep oil inside the engine and dirt out. Overtime, the factory seal wears and can cause an oil leak. If you observe oil or dirt buildup at the front of the engine, chances are you have a faulty crankshaft seal.
